Ode to NatureWhen her eye splits  
and gleams its first streams of light,  Mother adorns her bright blue and cotton white bonnet.   
Her boots are the color of the blue zircon.   
Her breath:  
cool, colorless, calm.  A soft embrace,  while she tenderly kisses our faces.   
Gifts spring from her feet  in lemon,  
lime,  
tangerine,  
apricot,  
and apple.   
Salty tears of joy rain down,  as her children play,  but when she is provoked,  she hisses and strikes  with a powerful might.

BulimiaI wash my hands before my reflection,  but I do not look up from the basin  to see if it's really there.   
The white bowl (my secret keeper),  I kneel before it with a voice that says,  "How can you do this?"  while it will remind me everyday  
that I walk past it and sit on it.

my saliva still reminiscent of Edy's.  Only the cold silver spoon knew how  often I  visited and borrowed from his  Double Fudge Brownie.

A ProductShe sees me heavier than the air could ever be,  definitely not as graceful.  One look at my face and she tells me,  the puss filled baggies,  the craters indented like dimples,

I saw myself,  eyes once bright as the sun,  with a twinkle of the stars in the sky,  now dimmed by the solar eclipse of her moon.  My body,  
a curvaceous sign of womanhood,  not the flawless figure of bones she maintained  
or wanted me to be.

Summer Starts

Everyone's gone. Campus empty, no echoes, but the rustle of leaves above my head as I walk from my final exam under an umbrella of green, down a lonely clear separation amongst the grass. Music bounces from wall to wall, now that all persons have cleared themselves as well as their belongings from the room. I am alone, just the way I like it, no more hiding to myself and sheltering the noise from my room. They're all gone not to be back til Fall. There are a few that stay like I must, but they are far from here. I feel a sudden energetic burst and need for movement as I realize all work is behind me and I can start anew again. I miss home, I miss friends, I miss my dogs, and my family, but I'm the happiest I have been over here since I've been back. Depression sunk in at first but finally the sense that my mind has moved on, let go, it's great! Finally!!! So much to do, but I'm feeling to smile as I get through my tasks, jammin out to every song, for they all sound brilliant and tantalizing today.
